Old charabanc in Exeter
While out walking in Exeter the other day, I came across a perfectly preserved example of a charabanc (pronounced “sharabang”).
These were old buses designed for long-distance outings to the seaside and, more often than not, pub crawls through the countryside. Interestingly, it was parked alongside a luxuriously modern German coach with every facility and comfort known to man. Here’s my pic:
