Devon County Show now open
The Devon Country Show is underway for the 115th time at the Westpoint Arena. Around 90,000 visitors are expected.
Highlight of this year’s show is a mini-model of Exmouth with a 260 square feet beach complete with 20 tonnes of sand.
Exmouth’s young Mayor, Darryl Nicholas, said, “This is a celebration of our town. We’ve got loads going on, the town centre is being regenerated, and the Chamber of Trade and the local community are really coming together to promote Exmouth as the biggest quality of life town in Devon.”
The show has 661 trade stands across its 92-acre site. Standing out are a flower show, shire horse display, for canine lovers a dog show, and a show jumping competition.
Tickets can be obtained at the entrance at £17 (adult), £6 (children) and £14.50 (seniors).
The show’s website is at www.devoncountyshow.co.uk.
