Severe rain warning
The Met Office has issued a severe rain warning for Devon and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
Cornwall and Isles of Scilly: A band of heavy rain will move east later this morning and through the afternoon, giving 15 to 20 mm quite widely across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and up to 30 mm locally.
Devon, Plymouth, Torbay: A period of heavy rain this afternoon and early evening will give rainfall totals of 10 to 20mm, with locally 30 to 40mm across Dartmoor and Northwest Devon.
The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
